Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of VAQ.
- Monitor and report on the status of projects and provide high level advice and recommendations to VAQ Leadership on mitigation strategies to effectively manage project risks and issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Prepare complex reports, briefs and other forms of correspondence that will provide advice and information to the Director and Senior Management.
- Develop and maintain constructive, collaborative working partnerships and relationships with stakeholders to support VAQ.
- Work with external stakeholders and government to positively influence outcomes and realise benefits for victims of crime in Queensland.
- Collaborate with and support the VAQ team to ensure meaningful input into project deliverables and to support change processes.
- Represent VAQ in a range of working groups, including coordinating, and delivering appropriate stakeholder and staff engagement processes.
- Foster a team environment that values performance, a shared purpose and strong team culture, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with government legislative requirements and department principles, policies and best practice frameworks and quality standards.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, adhering to professional standards and organisational objectives.
