Frontend Engineer - Advanced AI Systems
We are partnered with a cutting-edge AI safety startup that is building the foundational reliability and optimization layer for advanced AI systems capable of managing hundreds of millions of API calls monthly and train proprietary LLMs and VLMs that outperform commercial and open-source models. They are seeking a Frontend Engineer with a strong focus on design and performance to build intuitive interfaces for safety monitoring and developer tools.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Paris, France.
Key Responsibilities for this Frontend Engineer position:
- Build fast, reliable, and user-friendly interfaces for critical safety dashboards and developer tools.
- Design and implement necessary APIs and data flows to support complex analytics and monitoring features.
- Work directly with large datasets that are stored and queried from data platforms like ClickHouse.
- Ensure high application performance and actively resolve cross-browser quirks (including Safari).
- Maintain a genuine focus on usability and design in all shipped features, moving beyond simply "hacking things together."
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience with modern web development tools: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), including using public APIs, function calling, and context strategies.
- Ability to write solid, non-trivial SQL queries without requiring constant reference lookups.
- A proven focus on design, usability, and performance.
