A large enterprise organisation in Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support the delivery of complex, large-scale initiatives within a regulated environment. This contract role is suited to someone with a strong agile mindset who can lead teams independently, influence stakeholders, and take a pragmatic approach to agile delivery.

Reporting into an Agile / Scrum leadership function, you will play a key role in coaching teams, embedding best practices, and driving continuous improvement across delivery teams, including collaboration with third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all core agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Lead, coach and motivate agile delivery teams to maximise performance and outcomes
  • Track and use agile metrics to support continuous improvement
  • Coach teams in self-management, cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning
  • Support Product Owners with backlog management, prioritisation and refinement in complex delivery environments
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and transparency
  • Provide coaching and mentoring on agile best practices and methodologies
  • Support the wider organisation in improving agile maturity and ways of working
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing priorities while managing own workload effectively
  • Build strong relationships across delivery teams, business stakeholders and third-party partners
  • Collaborate effectively within environments using a blend of agile and traditional delivery models
  • Maintain a solid understanding of system architecture, software development practices and tooling

About You

  • Certified Scrum Master (or equivalent recognised agile certification)
  • 7+ years’ experience leading teams using Agile and Scrum practices, ideally on large-scale programmes
  • Strong knowledge of agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, with the ability to tailor approaches to context
  • Comfortable operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Proven experience working with third-party vendors and external delivery partners
  • Experience contributing to or operating within large-scale agile transformation programmes
  • Outcome-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Collaborative working style across technical and non-technical teams
  • Third-level qualification desirable
