Role Description

As a Venture Building Specialist, you will play a critical role in the success of our deep tech ventures, specifically those focused on post-quantum cryptography and blockchain. You will be responsible for supporting the Venture Lead in driving the ventures forward and working across all strategic and operational aspects to ensure the ventures’ success. You will be working on everything from defining a venture’s business model, go-to-market strategy, products and pricing, business planning, hiring, business development and securing the first few clients, and all other areas relating to setting up, incubating, and successfully launching the venture until it gains the critical mass required to run autonomously.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

• Project Management: Oversee and manage end-to-end workstreams relating to the venture’s incubation and operations, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Strategic Planning: Assist in defining and executing the venture’s business model, go-to-market strategy, products and pricing, launch strategy, and more.
• Competitive Analysis: Analyze a venture’s competitive landscape and identify business and pricing models, offering details, and key differentiators for relevant local and global players.
• Business Planning: Prepare comprehensive financial models to assess the feasibility of the venture, and guide funding requirements and resource allocation.
• Content Creation: Support the Venture Lead in creating and refining different pitch decks, client proposals, sales presentations, management presentations, and other reports.
• Business Development: Support in securing the venture’s first clients by identifying potential leads and crafting tailored proposals.
• Operational Support: Assist with the incorporation of the venture, setting up its processes, rolling out internal systems, and other operational tasks.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with the different stakeholder groups working on launching the venture (product, engineering, sales, marketing, and more), ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Qualifications (What You Bring)

• Consulting Experience: 3-5 years of experience at a top consulting firm (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or in a technology-focused consulting role (e.g. Accenture, McKinsey Digital, BCG Digital Ventures).
• Technology Background: Strong understanding of advanced technologies, digital transformation, and experience working with tech-driven projects. Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and blockchain technology is a plus.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple work streams and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about market positioning, business models, and growth opportunities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling pitch decks, proposals, management reports, and business plans.
• Operational Expertise: Experience in managing the operational and administrative aspects of businesses or projects.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive attitude, capable of working in a fast-paced, startup-like and fluid work environment.
