The Testing Platform team is responsible for building, evolving, and scaling the automated testing foundation that enables engineering teams to deliver high-quality software with speed and confidence. Rather than owning feature testing end-to-end, the team operates as an enablement function, focusing on shared infrastructure, tooling, and best practices that empower product teams to test effectively.
The team works proactively to reduce friction in testing, improve reliability and feedback loops, and ensure that quality is built into the development process from the earliest stages. By providing reusable solutions, clear guidance, and strong technical leadership, we help standardize quality approaches while still allowing teams the flexibility to meet their specific product needs.
To support the ongoing evolution and growth of our testing platform, we’re looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer in Test to join the team.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Process Improvement: research and evaluate new tools, optimise existing tests for speed and reliability, and share knowledge with the teams
- Infrastructure Building: design and build robust, reusable test tools and infrastructure for the core platform test automation setups
- Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with software engineers and product managers to identify risks, define testability, and deliver creative testing solutions
- Test Plan Preparation: Conduct test plan reviews with engineers across teams for the new products, and implement a minimal part of the tests as examples for the owning team
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field
- Real practical development experience:
- 3+ years as a Software Engineer in Test, SDET, or similar role
- 1+ years of software development experience (not just scripting)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Cypress, 2+ years minimum
- Strong proficiency in the development of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building internal testing tools and setups
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Background in platform/enablement teams
- Exposure to test analytics or reporting dashboards
- Strong experience in setting up GitHub Actions CI
- Playwright experience
- Minimal experience in maintaining Jenkins pipelines
- Programming Languages: TypeScript
- Test Automation Frameworks: Cypress, Playwright (minor usage)
- Unit Testing Frameworks: Jest, Vitest
- Linting and Formatting: ESlint, Prettier
- Test Reporting: Mochawesome, Allure
- Databases: Snowflake (used for Test Analytics)
- Infra: GitHub Actions, AWS S3, Keeper, GitLab (minor), Jenkins (minor)
- AI tools: Claude Code, Github Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini
- Communication & Project Management: Jira, Miro, Google Workspace, Slack.
- Monthly salary starting from EUR 3500 gross, with potential for a higher salary depending on work experience, education, and skills
- A global, inclusive team that’s as supportive as it is ambitious and serious about getting things done
- An opportunity to work remotely or in a modern and welcoming office in Riga
- Flexible working hours (start your day as late as 11 AM)
- Private health insurance
- 2 extra paid days off to focus on your mental or physical well-being
- 1 extra paid day off to celebrate a Birthday or any other celebration of your choice
- Internal and external learning opportunities
- Access to mentorship, internal meetups, and hackathons, both on-site and online
- Free and healthy lunch if you work from the Rīga office
- Design and order your own merch using our platforms with an employee discount
- Exciting team-building events and parties you’ll never forget!
