You will be responsible for developing scalable, user-friendly video post-processing systems integrated directly into clinical workflows. Your work will serve doctors and medical staff in hospitals and imaging centers worldwide, turning the complexity of medical imaging into intuitive, automated solutions for analysis and reporting.
Job description
We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our R&D team in Vilnius. As a Software Engineer at Ligence, you will work on high-impact projects within a dynamic, supportive, and mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable backend systems and asynchronous workflow engines using Python
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
- Containerize applications and manage complex environments using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Apply DevOps and general software engineering best practices to improve code quality and deployment reliability
- Collaborate with the Product Team to ideate, prototype, and test new features.
- Take ownership of technical decisions at the feature level and participate in peer code reviews.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency and experience in Python and Docker
- Experience with web server configuration (e.g. Nginx) and networking fundamentals
- Experience setting up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
- Understanding of DevOps practices and general software architecture
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Celery, Temporal, Airflow)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Nice to have:
- Experience with TypeScript and/or Frontend development
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Background in Machine Learning projects or video analysis.
- Experience in developing software products in a regulated environment
- Experience working in HealthTech
