In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end data science projects for our clients: from ideation and prototyping to model deployment and monitoring. Whether you’re optimizing personalization algorithms, measuring causal business impacts, or mentoring clients on best practices, you’ll combine consultancy skills and deep technical skill with practical impact.
Your role
- Translate business goals into scalable machine learning solutions.
- Design, prototype, and productionize models that deliver measurable value.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
- Design and deploy scalable recommendation systems.
- Develop personalization strategies using learn-to-rank, bandit algorithms, and reinforcement learning.
- Apply causal inference techniques to measure business impact.
- Build production-ready systems using Python, cloud tools, and MLOps best practices.
- Apply best practices in versioning, testing, and model monitoring.
- Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new techniques in reinforcement learning, causal ML, and generative AI for recommendations.
- Contribute to internal learning sessions and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Preferable +/- 2-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on recommender systems, personalization, or ranking models.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Econometrics, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and applied mathematics.
- Excellent Python programming skills and experience building deployable models.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
- A consulting mindset: you enjoy listening, collaborating, and turning needs into solutions.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- A drive to learn, improve, and share knowledge - both internally and with the broader tech community.

- A monthly salary between €3.800 - €6.200 per month (based on 40 hours and excluding vacation allowance)
