Work modality: FULL REMOTE from anywhere in SPAIN, or HYBRID in Barcelona.

This is an exciting opening for a Senior Backend Engineer who is able to see the big picture and balance the seek for software quality with a pragmatic approach to help us scale the company. We have different projects to carry out our amazing product’s development, you’ll have the possibility to join us to help us grow by contributing to technical and architectural decisions and even creating new teams.

What challenges you'll be solving 🚀

• Design, evolve, and maintain critical backend systems in Ruby on Rails.
• Make technical decisions balancing software quality, pragmatism, and speed.
• Work with complex business logic (payments, state machines, integrations, edge cases).
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams.
• Improve existing systems: performance, maintainability, and technical debt.
• Take part in architectural discussions and long-term platform evolution.

What you’ll need 🤝

• Strong, long-term experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments (at least 5 years of recent experience).
• A product mindset: you care about the “why”, not just the “how”.
• Experience working on systems that cannot fail (payments, fintech, marketplaces, high-traffic platforms).
• Solid technical judgment, autonomy, and ownership.
• Solid knowledge of OOP, clean coding, TDD, and agile.
• English proficiency (MANDATORY)
