This is a 2-3 month rolling contract opportunity in Gothenburg.

The Project:-

We’re working with a fast-growing, API-first technology company operating in the supply-chain space. They’re helping organisations modernise how data flows between suppliers, customers, and internal systems replacing manual processes with reliable, production-ready integrations.

We're looking for an experienced freelance consultant to take ownership of customer-facing integration and automation projects. This is not a support role and not a pure backend role, it’s for someone who enjoys being close to customers, understands real-world data problems, and can deliver working solutions end-to-end. This role suits a high-agency, pragmatic engineer who’s comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity.

Typical work includes:-

• Designing and building integrations between customer systems and a modern API platform
• Working with messy, real-world data (ERPs, CSVs, legacy systems, non-standard formats)
• Writing production code across backend services and APIs
• Explaining technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Delivering solutions that are reliable, observable, and maintainable in production

Requirements:-

• 5+ years’ experience in software engineering roles with strong customer exposure (consulting, agency, solutions, or product-led environments)
• Comfortable working across the stack in Go, Python, and React,
• Proven experience building integrations, APIs, and data-heavy systems
• Experience working in cloud environments and shipping production systems
• The confidence to lead technical conversations with customers and own delivery outcomes
