A well‑funded and established product organisation in Trondheim is expanding its in‑house engineering team following significant recent investment in its digital platforms. The company is looking for a Front‑End Developer with a strong eye for design to play a key role in shaping the future of its internal products.
You will be involved in a major modernisation of the company’s core internal platform, while also contributing to several new greenfield products. The role combines hands‑on front‑end development with practical UX/UI design work in Figma, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing architecture, user experience, and overall product direction.
What You’ll Work On
- Front‑end development using Vue (or similar modern JS frameworks)
- Product and UI design work in Figma
- Contributing to the ongoing rebuild of the core application (already well underway)
- Developing new internal tools and greenfield applications
- Working with Azure and SQL‑based systems, including a migration from MSSQL to PostgreSQL
- Optional involvement in API development
What You Bring
- Solid experience in front‑end engineering with modern JavaScript frameworks
- Ability to demonstrate previous design or UI work
- A strong sense for user experience and visual quality
- Approximately 5–7+ years of relevant experience
- Working Norwegian skills, or a willingness to learn, as daily communication is in Norwegian
Why This Role Stands Out
- Genuine ownership and influence over both technical and design direction
- A strong mix of modernisation work and brand‑new product development
- A stable, established employer making long‑term investments in software
- High design standards, taking over from an external consultant who has laid a strong visual foundation
- Close collaboration within a small, supportive engineering team
- Work that directly impacts core business processes and internal users
- A modernising tech stack with room to shape future engineering practices
Team & Environment
You’ll join a dedicated product group consisting of front‑end engineers, back‑end engineers, a database specialist, support, customer success, and data insights colleagues. The leadership team values pragmatic decision‑making, autonomy, and fast feedback loops, creating an environment where good ideas can quickly turn into real impact.
