Scope

We are looking for a highly skilled and technically gifted computer programmer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming. You will be responsible developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties. You will be expected to show a willingness to research and embrace new technology that might assist various use cases in the travel industry and pitch ideas to the team.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Director of Business Development and external design team, define feature specifications and build the next generation of Pure Escapes online platform using modern technology and excellent code.
• Web application development
• Familiarity with JSON and XML
• AWS experience
• Deliver bug-free code within weekly development sprints
• Write tests to ensure confidence in your code
• Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back end services
• Collaborate with our team to ensure the best product for our users
• Responsible for maintaining existing platform
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Skills And Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Advanced knowledge of and production-level experience with Node.js and React
• Prior experience using and developing REST APIs
• Proficient understanding of testing (unit, integration)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• You are confident in your problem-solving abilities and are eager to tackle unique challenges
• You are willing to bring new ideas and thought leadership to Pure Escapes and the team
