Incident Response Team Leader | Oslo, Norway | Hybrid working
We are working closely with a large international consultancy to recruit an Incident Response Team Leader for their cyber security practice in Oslo.
This role sits at the heart of high-impact cyber incident response engagements. You will lead experienced responders, take charge during live incidents, and play a key role in strengthening detection, response, and recovery capabilities for enterprise and public sector clients.
The role:
As Incident Response Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading response activities across complex security incidents while developing the team and improving response readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating cyber incident response activities
- Acting as an escalation point during high severity incidents
- Managing and mentoring incident responders and analysts
- Overseeing post incident reviews and lessons learned
- Improving playbooks, processes, and response frameworks
- Working closely with SOC, threat intelligence, and forensics teams
- Engaging with client stakeholders during and after incidents
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience in cyber security incident response
- Previous experience leading or mentoring response teams
- Hands on background across containment, eradication, and recovery
- Experience working in a consultancy or customer facing environment is beneficial
- Calm, structured approach under pressure
- Fluent English communication skills (Norwegian is beneficial but not essential)
