Python Developer - Hedge Fund - Singapore


My client is hiring Python Developer to join their technology team responsible for building and enhancing systems that support trading and risk functions. The engineer will contribute to the growth and stability of risk technology, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enhancements to existing risk applications
  • Translate business needs from risk stakeholders into scalable technical solutions
  • Build a strong understanding of the wider trading and technology ecosystem
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Support daily operational stability of critical systems
  • Participate in improving engineering processes and operational practices


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience developing in Python
  • Experience with Django or comparable Python frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and software design principles
  • Experience using version control, automated testing, and build/deployment pipelines
  • Basic proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
