Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the project owner to translate creative vision into technical game features
- Design, develop, and implement core gameplay systems with an emphasis on RPG mechanics
- Build and optimize game environments, character interactions, and progression systems
- Integrate user feedback and iterate on gameplay elements to enhance player experience
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across platforms
- Coordinate with artists, designers, and other contributors as needed
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet milestones
- Proven experience developing video games, preferably with RPG or open-world elements
- Proficiency in game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of game design principles, player engagement, and narrative integration
- Experience with hybrid or on-site collaboration; must be based in or able to travel to Los Angeles
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple aspects of game development
