Company Description

Our client is an independent boutique investment firm focused on blockchain, crypto, Web3, and fintech, including neobanks and payments, investing in and supporting projects and funds at the forefront of these technologies.

Role Overview

The Principal works closely with the investment team to execute investments from sourcing through to exit, taking a hands-on role across the full transaction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Support all aspects of the investment lifecycle, including:

• Source, assess and manage pipeline of early stage investment opportunities
• Drive the due diligence processes between internal and external teams, in order to secure and close investment deals
• Managing equity and token deal execution, including deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation
• Create investment memo and investment summary reports for executive decision makers
• Liaise with legal team in legal diligence and closing

• Be an external presence in the crypto and fintech ecosystem, building relationships with founders, investors, and technical subject matter experts
• Over time become the “go-to” subject matter expert in multiple themes / verticals to support the overall fund and ecosystem strategy
• Develop thematic research and data-driven insights on the latest trends in the crypto and fintech ecosystem

Key Requirements

• Min 5-6 years experience in top-tier VC/PE, investment banking, corporate development. Web3 investing or technical experience is a plus
• In-depth understanding and relevant experience in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, including strong grasp of trends, themes, tokenomics, etc.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to distil complex topics into clear, easy to understand messaging
• Excellent organisational, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Strong drive and sense of ownership
• Ability to network, develop ecosystem relationships, and publish thought leadership / content
• Experience working with startup management teams and cross-functional execs, including business development, product, legal, and finance
• Role to be based in NYC or Singapore, and report to HQ in Singapore
