We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a growing IT services team based in Buford, GA. This is a fully onsite, client-facing role supporting school, government, and enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across a wide range of networking technologies and project-based implementations.

- Join a small, close-knit IT services team (approximately 19 employees) with opportunities to expand technical depth
- Minimal travel (approximately 20%), primarily within Georgia, with occasional overnight trips for implementations
- Direct client impact with exposure to evolving and emerging technologies
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network environments including routing, switching, VLANs, and wireless
- Provide onsite and remote support for networking, security, and infrastructure-related issues
- Implement and support firewalls, security solutions, and endpoint protection platforms
- Work with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix
- Collaborate on project-based initiatives such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
- Provide occasional after-hours support during scheduled implementations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on networking experience across wireless, routing/switching, and firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and core networking protocols
- Direct experience working with Cisco and Fortinet technologies
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, antivirus solutions, and endpoint security
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and cloud-based environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Fortinet NSE 4, Palo Alto, or Nutanix
- Prior experience working within a VAR, MSP, or Professional Services environment
- Broader exposure to cloud solutions and advanced virtualization architectures
