Job Title: Network Engineer – Ubiquiti, Meraki, and Cisco Routing & Switching, Aruba wireless
Role Summary:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure leveraging Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco routing and switching technologies. The role includes managing firewalls, wireless solutions, and ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage Ubiquiti EdgeRouters, UniFi switches, and Meraki MX routers, MS switches, and MR wireless access points.
Deploy and maintain Meraki firewalls and Cisco routing/switching infrastructure.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across multiple platforms.
Configure and monitor routing protocols like OSPF, BGP.
Implement VLANs, QoS, STP, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.
Utilize Meraki Dashboard and UniFi Controller for network monitoring and optimization.
Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.
Perform firmware upgrades, backup configurations, and maintain documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Ubiquiti routing and switching hardware.
Expertise in Cisco Meraki products and cloud-managed networking.
Proficiency in Cisco IOS commands and Layer 2 technologies.
Familiarity with VPN, VLAN, firewall configurations, and QoS.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across multi-vendor environments.
Certifications:
- Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP) and Meraki CMNA certification preferred.
- Ubiquiti certification (UEWA or similar) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering with Ubiquiti, Meraki, and Cisco technologies
