📊 Business Analyst – Data / BI | Contract | Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)

Are you a Business Analyst who enjoys working hands-on with data, analytics, and reporting teams? This contract role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of a new Data & BI ecosystem within a complex, regulated environment.

📍 Melbourne CBD | Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)

📆 Contract role till June 2026

What you’ll be working on

• Supporting the delivery of a new Data / BI platform and reporting ecosystem
• Translating business needs into data requirements, user stories, and BI specifications
• Working closely with data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and architects
• Facilitating stakeholder workshops to define reporting, insights, and data needs
• Supporting data validation, UAT, and implementation activities

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Data / BI or Analytics environments
• Strong understanding of data platforms, dashboards, reporting, and data flows
• Experience working with health, medical, or patient data
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams
• Comfortable working in hybrid delivery models

Highly regarded / beneficial experience

• Experience working in government environments, particularly within the health sector
• Familiarity with public sector delivery, governance, and compliance requirements
• Exposure to data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations

Nice to have

• Experience with modern data stacks or cloud-based BI platforms
• Agile delivery experience (user stories, backlogs, sprint ceremonies)
• Understanding of data governance, quality, and metadata management
