Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Project Manager Intern, you will work closely with a Project Manager coach to manage industry-leading solutions to IBM clients and the IBM team to meet the overall integrated solution plan, budget, schedule, and staffing requirements while exceeding your client's expectations. Project Managers Intern at IBM succeed by demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and presenting solutions.

- Project Management: Creating and executing project management plans including, financial, scope, and change, deliverables and communication controls.
- Cross-Team Communication: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the client, partner, and account team on project status.
- Reporting and Metrics Management: Report and strategize solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials-costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.
- Building Credibility and Influences: Navigating across venues to resolve issues, developing and documenting risk mitigation strategies, providing project direction that quickly builds credibility and influences as a trusted advisor.
- Developing a high-performing team: Cultivating teamwork and problem-solving while working under delivery expectations and deadlines.
- Empathy and Service Skills: Demonstrating empathy and service orientation skills for client success.
- Agile Project Delivery Expertise: A provable track record of project delivery disciplines and frameworks using agile best practices to successfully delivery in a way that's both nimble and fast.
- Success in Communication and Relationship Building: Demonstrable success in communication and personal relationship development at all levels – from engineers to CIOs – with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
- Technology Experience: Experience in building credibility and driving adoption of methodologies and practices across portfolios. At least 3 years managing project delivery.
- Technology & Infrastructure Experience:
Strong capability in building credibility and driving adoption of delivery methodologies and governance practices across multiple portfolios.
Minimum 3 years of experience managing end-to-end project delivery in complex technology or infrastructure initiatives.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Problem-Solving Skills: Problem-solving skills with attention to detail, precision, and time management.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.
