We are looking for a hands-on Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) to join our international engineering team. At SEON, you will work on two mission-critical mobile applications that form the core of our safety and emergency response platform. You will collaborate closely with Backend, Frontend, Product, and Engineering leadership to build reliable, high-quality mobile experiences that help organizations protect people and respond to critical events faster. • Develop, maintain, and enhance our React Native (Expo) apps: User App and Responder App


• Take ownership of mobile architecture and contribute to long-term technical decisions


• Implement features involving offline functionality, maps & geolocation, secure data handling, and real-time interactions


• Ensure performance, stability, and a great user experience across iOS and Android


• Work closely with our Product Owner and engineering team to refine requirements


• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes


• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software

• 3+ years of experience building mobile applications with React Native


• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and mobile architecture patterns


• Experience with offline-first capabilities, maps & geolocation services, and mobile security best practices


• Familiarity with REST APIs; experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus


• Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with attention to detail and quality


• Ability to work mostly overlapping with CET (±2 hours)


• English fluency; German is a plus


• Valid work authorization for Germany (employment via SEON GmbH)

• Fully remote work setup within CET ±2 hours, with optional access to our offices in Hamburg and Cape Town
