Right - Here is a good one for you, if you're into putting order into Chaos and love working in a scrappy, ambiguous environment and genuinely putting your own stamp on things, then this is a PERFECT role.

A company that is not too big or small, perfect blend of lack of red tape and has significant financial backing.

You will take ownership of the whole data science function, working closely with the VP in organising the architecture of the DS platform and putting in place a more cohesive structure.

The role is very strategic, they want someone who is thinking one or two years ahead and getting ahead of the curve.

You will also hire more senior engineers to help implement these new changes. There is a goldmine of data within the company that isn't being targeted properly.

Your Profile:

Someone who has headed up a data science function before.

Has done the technical strategy and roadmapped.

Have worked at a scale up before, this is something that is important, many hats have to be worn.

You can still talk shop with the engineers and data scientists.

Have experience in production ready solutions, it is not a research or POC role unfortunately.

You will have experience with the following:

Leading teams, including KPIs and PIPs etc.

Knowledge of NLP desirable.

Have architected and scaled a data platform.

Strong Python knowledge.

Have strong AWS knowledge, Kinesis etc (AWS experience is key).

Role is hybrid, but a loose hybrid, once a week onsite is perfect.
