Ever wanted to start your career as SRE but nobody wants to hire without 3 years of experience? Maybe wondered if you have what it takes to be more than a monitoring engineer, but there are no career progression paths present? Would you like to know more?
The newly formed SRE team which hails from observability with a slight hint of devops is expanding and we are looking for talented, eager to learn people to join us!
YOU WILL:
- Work closely with the SRE Team to enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software engineering, data operations, and devops teams to implement and maintain best practices in infrastructure automation, monitoring, and incident response.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Automate manual tasks and develop scripts/tools for deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and test environments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with the team every 5th week
- Ensure compliance with ITIL standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in SRE and DevOps.
IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience in working as Monitoring/Observability/Devops engineer in the past
- Aptitude with AWS, heterogenous environment – both windows and linux
- Knowledge of infra automation tools just like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform
- Knowledge of main cloud providers, like AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with Monitoring and Observability platforms, like Datadog, ELK
- Basics of microservices, containers and CI/CD concepts
- Additional dabbling in python, bash or powershell would be a great advantage
- ITIL and/or MSSQL knowledge is good to have.
