The Deep Digital Phenotyping (DDP) Research Unit within the Department of Precision Health, is seeking for a Research Assistant.
The Research Assistant will contribute to the ongoing research activities in voice AI and digital epidemiology in the teams to support the researchers and PhD students. H/She will analyze various sources of data and train AI algorithms, such as voice recordings to identify digital vocal biomarkers, or clustering methods for deep digital phenotyping and precision health research in the field of diabetes or mental health. H/She will provide specific expertise in AI (ML/DL), data science, using real world data, and signal processing. H/She will take part in the strategic planning of the research unit and participate in the valorization of research projects (publications, communication…).
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the research projects: drafting, implementation, follow-up, planning and supervision of students.
- Ensure compliance to ethics, GDPR and regulatory requirements
- Present results from statistical and AI analyses during interdisciplinary team meetings
- Project Management & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to Head of the DDP research lab
- Contribute to scientific publication writing
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s level or Engineering Degree in health data science, bioinformatics or biostatistics
- Expertise in machine learning / deep learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised methods)
- Knowledge in diabetes or mental health research is an asset
- Prior experience on signal processing (such as voice, image) or text analysis is an asset
- Efficiency, rigor, motivation, organisation skills, writing skills, conciseness, sense of priority and ability to work with others
- Skills: Excellent command in Python, R, project management tools (Trello)
- Languages skills: fluent in English, knowledge of another language of the European Union, such as French or German is an asset.
