We are looking for a highly experienced Data Engineer Expert to provide technical consultancy services for data engineering and business intelligence projects within a public institution of the European Union.

🏛️ Project Context
The role supports a public institution of the European Union responsible for providing access to EU law, official publications, open data, research outputs, and other authoritative EU information.
🎯 Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultancy services for Data Engineering projects.
- Contribute to Business Intelligence (BI) implementation projects in Microsoft Azure.
- Analyse, design, and implement data ingestion, storage, processing, and security solutions in the cloud.
- Manage and monitor data ingestion, storage, and processing workflows.
- Develop and maintain data platforms in line with EU guidelines.
- Participate in technical working groups and meetings with project teams, developers, stakeholders, and non-technical users.
- Draft and review technical and functional/non-functional specifications in collaboration with Architecture and Operations teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of post-secondary education in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, or Computing (EQF Level 6), or
- 2 additional years of professional experience in addition to the required experience.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including:
- 8 years in the Business Intelligence field
- 5 years working with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with BI for process-driven applications.
- Knowledge of EU Data Governance frameworks or equivalent.
- Experience with EU Azure Security guidelines.
