Overview of the System Administrator Role


The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of operating systems within the organization. This role ensures stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.


Key Responsibilities:


Manage and administer Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Exchange Server environments, ensuring seamless integration, optimal performance, and security compliance.

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Install and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.) and related software.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Perform regular system updates and patches.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including backups, system audits, and hard drive optimization.
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Analyze system logs and use diagnostic tools to identify potential issues.
  • Planning, designing and deploying IP networks (L2, L3, security).
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and other metrics.
