For one of our clients, a global pioneer in pharmaceuticals, we are currently looking for a dedicated junior Process Data Scientist.
In this role, you will focus on the core technical aspects of Multivariate Data Analysis: developing, validating, and maintaining robust models that contribute to our quality assurance.
The Perfect Candidate is someone with a solid background in Multivariate Data Analysis (MVDA) and a high-level understanding of biopharma processes. The candidate is in their early career.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Model Development:
- Design and build MVDA models for Drug Substance manufacturing processes.
- Responsible for the end-to-end technical creation of the model structure.
Data Pre-processing & Curation:
- Apply rigorous data modeling techniques.
- Ensuring that raw process data is correctly pre-processed to prevent false positive/false negative results.
Validation & Maintenance:
- Execute formal validation protocols to demonstrate model suitability.
- Responsible for maintaining the lifecycle of these models, ensuring they remain accurate over time as process baselines evolve.
Must Haves:
- Ideally a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemometrics, Statistics, or Biotechnology. Alternatively a Bachelor or Master’s degree combined with relevant work experience.
- Min. 2 years experience in statistics.
- First professional/industry experiences.
- Min. B2/C1 level in English and German.
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with Open-DCP or similar modeling frameworks (e.g., SIMCA).
- Knowledge of the R programming language for statistical computing.
- Experience with Aveva PI System Explorer (OSIsoft) for data retrieval.
