Data Scientist / Data Analyst (Contract)
Contract Duration: 6 months + possibilities of extension
Location: Remote (Sweden only)
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist / Data Analyst to support a digital product used by millions of users, with a strong focus on optimizing and personalizing visual user experiences. Image and design choices play a critical role in content discovery, and this role will provide data-driven insights to guide merchandising and presentation decisions.
You will plan and run A/B tests across multiple surfaces, analyze large-scale datasets, and translate findings into clear recommendations for product and design teams. The role involves close collaboration with developers, product owners, and designers, and you will be part of a collaborative data community that values knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B and experimentation frameworks
- Define metrics and evaluate the impact of visual and product changes
- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL (BigQuery), Python, or R
- Apply statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, and modeling
- Create clear, insightful dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders
- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL (Google BigQuery) and Python or R
- Practical experience designing and analyzing experiments
- Solid understanding of statistical methods (e.g. regression, significance testing)
- Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams
- Proficiency in Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar BI tools

- Experience with visual optimization, merchandising, or UX-related analytics
