UI/UX Designer – Contract

Overview

We are supporting a technology consultancy delivering a large-scale digital platform for a banking client in a regulated environment. The team is looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to support the design of secure, user-centric web and mobile experiences, working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, accessible UI/UX solutions for complex web and mobile applications
• Translate business and user requirements into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers (React / Flutter) to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately
• Contribute to or evolve existing design systems and component libraries
• Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across platforms
• Support iterative delivery through user feedback, testing, and continuous improvement
• Work within security, compliance, and regulatory constraints typical of banking environments

Required Experience

• 4+ years’ experience as a UI/UX Designer working on production digital products
• Strong experience designing web and/or mobile applications (enterprise-scale preferred)
• Proficiency with Figma (or equivalent design tools)
• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual hierarchy
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile delivery environments
• Ability to clearly articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
