Position Summary:

We are seeking a Network Administrator to ensure the stable operation of client computer software systems and network connections. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. This role provides both remote and onsite support.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support customer network infrastructure to ensure a secure and reliable environment for mission critical applications.
  • Provide remote and onsite support for customer networks ranging from approximately 15 to 150 users across Windows based environments.
  • Support Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, and Group Policy.
  • Support firewall and VPN solutions, with exposure to WatchGuard and Fortinet platforms.
  • Support virtualization environments including Microsoft Hyper-V and, where applicable, VMware, Citrix, or Scale.
  • Coordinate with users, vendors, and internal teams to implement new network deployments and maintain existing environments.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and assist with hardware and solution recommendations.
  • Document systems, changes, and procedures using ConnectWise and other MSP tools.
  • Deliver assigned client projects, including implementation, coordination, and documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding incidents, progress updates, and planned changes or outages.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while collaborating closely with senior engineers.
  • Participate in internal training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, WatchGuard, and SonicWall
  • Identify, research, evaluate, and implement emerging Windows and other relevant computer technologies
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment



Job Type: Permanent Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Benefits: Full extended health care and dental care + 3 weeks of vacation

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000/year + annual bonus

Location: Work from home, onsite client visits required within the Greater Vancouver region
