AI Engineer
Singapore
About the role
We are seeking an AI Engineer to build and drive production-grade LLM and retrieval-based functionality. In this role you’ll work across embedding generation, document chunking, vector search, evaluation, and reliability — with opportunity to experiment, innovate, and shape the foundational AI layer of our product.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines — including chunking, embedding generation, indexing and search infrastructure.
- Improve the accuracy, consistency, and quality of LLM outputs; experiment with model configurations and retrieval strategies.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and metrics to assess LLM performance and retrieval quality.
- Process large, complex documents, generating structured output as needed.
- Integrate AI / LLM-driven features into production systems alongside backend/frontend engineering teams.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot LLM behaviour, retrieval failures or edge-cases and continuously improve reliability and robustness.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of experience in AI/ML, NLP, or LLM engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python and building AI/NLP systems.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases or search-based storage (e.g. Milvus, Pinecone, pgvector, Atlas Search, etc.).
- Deep familiarity with embeddings, tokenization, document chunking, and retrieval-based architectures (e.g. RAG or similar).
- Experience with LLM prompting, tuning, or systematic evaluation of model outputs.
- Comfortable collaborating with backend and frontend teams.
- Experience building microservices or APIs (e.g. using FastAPI), and integrating ML/AI into production systems.
- Comfortable designing and running experiments at scale and building evaluation frameworks.
- Bonus: familiarity with agent-style flows or tool-calling models.
