Technical Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX / Hybrid

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of complex, cross‑functional technology initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and the business, ensuring tightly coordinated execution across multiple teams while maintaining high technical and delivery standards.

You'll be responsible for driving clarity, accountability, and delivery across large‑scale technical workstreams-often involving cloud platforms, data, security, and core systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of technical projects and programs, from initiation through launch and stabilization
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and DevOps teams to define scope, milestones, dependencies, and risks
  • Translate technical architectures and requirements into clear project plans, delivery schedules, and execution frameworks
  • Drive Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models as appropriate; facilitate ceremonies and reporting
  • Manage cross‑team dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs, escalating where required
  • Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure high standards around quality, security, and operational readiness
  • Support continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and delivery practices




Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical project or technical program management
  • Strong background working with software engineering teams in modern tech environments
  • Solid technical understanding of:
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    • APIs and distributed systems
    • Data platforms, pipelines, or analytics (nice to have)
  • Hands‑on experience with Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional project controls
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder groups and drive alignment



Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or regulated environments
  • Exposure to data governance, security, or compliance initiatives
  • PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or similar certifications
