Job Description
Mirantis is adding a contract Front End Engineer to our team! The Front End Engineer will work between our Mirantis Secure Registry team which develops our registry product, and our Sustaining Engineering team which provides world-class support for the Mirantis Cloud Native Platform. The Mirantis Cloud Native Platform is made of the following technologies: Mirantis Container Runtime, Mirantis Secure Registry, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, and Mirantis Container Cloud. You are a friendly, effective communicator who is inherently interested in solving complex problems. You enjoy finding and reproducing bugs. You sling code for fun. You are a smart and enthusiastic engineer willing to learn how the world of containers works. MIrantis is looking for you!
Qualifications
As a UI Developer at Mirantis, you will:
- Liaise with other developers - thus good written and spoken English skills are required
- Develop UI workflows from functional specifications in conjunction with the Engineering and Product Managers
- Design and develop software against requirements in React.js and Angular
- Be proficient in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Possess understanding and knowledge of React.js, Angular, and their core principles
- Have experience with popular React.js and Angular workflows
- Identify and fix bugs that are found within code.
- Ensure you've written adequate test cases to verify design requirements are being met.
- Document coding and bug fixes.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- User-level experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Registries
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial
- Experience with cloud providers: OpenStack based, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
