Node.js Developer (6+ Years Experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with strong backend development expertise to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate must have solid hands‑on experience in building scalable, high‑performance applications using Node.js and modern frameworks. This role requires strong problem‑solving abilities, clean coding practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server‑side applications using Node.js, Express.js, and associated frameworks.
• Build scalable APIs, microservices, and backend modules.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, Product, and DevOps teams for end‑to‑end delivery.
• Write high‑quality, efficient, and reusable code.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Implement CI/CD workflows for seamless deployments.
• Ensure backend application security, performance, and scalability.
• Review code, mentor juniors, and contribute to best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience in Node.js and Express.js.
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands‑on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai).
