About the Role



Be the driving force behind RuPay’s acceptance growth story across India and beyond! Lead initiatives to make RuPay the preferred choice for merchants across POS, E-commerce, and QR ecosystems, while unlocking international corridors for cross-border transactions. Own the product roadmap, innovate on acceptance solutions, and collaborate with banks, payment aggregators, and global partners to deliver frictionless, future-ready payment experiences.


You’ll shape RuPay’s global footprint, lead zero-to-one product innovations, and work at the intersection of technology, partnerships, and strategy to redefine how India and the world transact.



Job Details:

Role- Lead Product Manager RuPay Acceptance

Years of experience - 5+ Years

Qualification- BE/B.Tech or/+ MBA from institute of repute

Job Location- Mumbai


Key Responsibilities:


Product Innovation & Delivery

  • Build a comprehensive RuPay acceptance strategy for domestic and international POS/E-com, including MDR frameworks and merchant value propositions.
  • Define segment-specific playbooks for micro-merchants, MSMEs, organized retail, travel, hospitality, and cross border clusters.
  • Drive international enablement by partnering with global acquirers and networks for corridor activation and compliance.
  • Collaborate with acquirers and PAs to streamline merchant onboarding, pricing, and settlement flows.


Ecosystem Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with banks, PAs, POS OEMs, gateways, and international partners to accelerate adoption.
  • Execute co-marketing campaigns and activation blitzes to scale RuPay acceptance nationally and globally.


Data & Insights

  • Develop dashboards for TPV, merchant activation, approval rates, and success ratios.
  • Identify and resolve acceptance bottlenecks such as BIN gaps, routing issues, and risk declines.


KPI’s :

Merchant Acceptance Growth: Domestic POS/E-com activation and retention.

International Enablement: Number of corridors and merchant clusters live.

Usage & Revenue: TPV growth across domestic and international acceptance.

Coverage: BIN enablement and compliance certifications.

Quality Metrics: Approval rates and dispute SLA adherence.


Good-to-Have:

• Exposure to AI/ML techniques for payments use cases (fraud detection, risk optimization, spend prediction, SR improvement).

• Familiarity with model deployment and MLOps practices.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI model implementation.

• Understanding predictive analytics and data-driven optimization.

• Certifications in AI/ML or related technologies.
