Job Title: Android Developer

Rate: £266 / Day

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based only)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mid-level Android Developer for a contract role starting on 1st February. This opportunity is fully remote, based in London, and falls outside IR35. The successful candidate will contribute to an exciting Android platform project for an advanced technology group, working independently to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience working with modern Android development tools and practices, particularly Jetpack Compose for declarative UI. Proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines and Flow for reactive programming, is essential. You must be confident in your understanding and practical application of the MVVM architectural pattern and modularisation best practices.

You will be required to write and maintain Gradle build scripts using Kotlin DSL and have a solid grasp of unit testing principles specific to Android. Furthermore, experience with CI/CD tools like Fastlane and GitHub Actions is highly desirable. The role also involves integrating and working with GraphQL APIs, so past experience in this area will be advantageous.

While not required, it would be beneficial if you have experience integrating identity providers, payment providers, or embedding web flows into native WebViews.

This position offers a competitive daily rate of £266. You will be part of a progressive, collaborative team focused on delivering high-standard mobile solutions in a remote-friendly environment.

Key Requirements:

Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and declarative UI

Proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines and Flow
