Role Overview
The QA Tester will execute test cases for firmware and mobile app builds, identify defects, and maintain detailed documentation. This role is well suited for candidates early in their QA career or those looking for a flexible, part time engagement.
Responsibilities
- Run test cases for mobile app and firmware builds based on structured test plans.
- Test functionality, UI flows, firmware update behavior, and device interactions.
- Log issues clearly in Jira or similar systems with screenshots and steps to reproduce.
- Perform regression testing after fixes.
- Provide feedback to engineering and product teams on overall quality and user experience.
- Assist in building and maintaining a consistent QA process.
- One to three or more years of manual QA testing experience.
- Experience testing iOS or Android applications.
- Ability to follow test plans and document results clearly.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of firmware updates or embedded hardware (training available).
- Interest in growing into a more technical QA role.
