Are you a skilled Network Engineer looking to work on some of the most advanced, high-performance network infrastructures in the industry?

We’re partnering with a company that relies on cutting-edge networking technologies to keep critical operations running smoothly across global sites. Working with next-generation firewalls, cloud-managed wireless networks, and SD-WAN architectures, the team delivers secure, resilient, and high-availability networks that support data, voice, and video traffic — ensuring seamless connectivity across hybrid and cloud environments.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Engineer to join their IT team. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern, enterprise-grade network infrastructures, supporting next-generation firewalls, cloud-managed wireless networks, SD-WAN architectures, and hybrid environments. You’ll play a key part in ensuring network performance, security, and availability while contributing to large-scale projects and mentoring junior team members.

What you will do:

  • Manage and support FortiGate next-generation firewalls using centralized tools like FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Configure and maintain Ruckus Wireless infrastructure, including cloud-managed Wi-Fi platforms.
  • Implement and support SD-WAN architectures (Fortinet preferred, or equivalents such as Cisco Meraki, Versa, or Palo Alto Prisma)
  • Maintain network security, performance, and availability across hybrid environments including cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and remote sites.
  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve complex network issues, utilizing tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
  • Design and deploy redundant, fault-tolerant enterprise networks for data, voice, and video.
  • Document network architecture, processes, and changes using Visio and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage incident escalation using Jira or other ITSM platforms.
  • Mentor junior Network Administrators and support cross-functional IT teams.
  • Lead or contribute to network projects from planning through deployment and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Assist with compliance and security audit requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2)

Skills & Experience required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure.
  • 3+ years’ experience specifically as a Network Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with NGFW devices such as FortiGate.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IPsec VPN, DMVPN, NAT, QoS, VoIP, and wireless protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring and observability tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
  • Familiarity with switching, routing, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Proficient in documentation and maintaining network diagrams.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders effectively.

Desirable

  • Professional network certifications (optional but advantageous)
  • Microsoft Windows Server experience.
  • Backup and restore technologies knowledge.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to operate audio-visual and computer equipment.
  • Travel may be required.
