My client is an international Law Firm located in the city center of Brussels.This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who is interested in developing a career in HR within a fast-paced, professional legal environment.
Job Description
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and preparing offer documentation
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for attorneys and staff, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems and personnel files
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
- Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying employment and attendance data
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and firm policies
- Respond to routine HR-related inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with performance review cycles, training coordination, and internal HR communications
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and presentations as needed
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, document preparation, and calendar management
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- English native level and French or Dutch knowledge
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
- Basic knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work independently
