As a Summer Trainee in Cyber Security Intelligence and Engagement, you will work alongside our cyber security experts and service owners to enhance security posture and improve resilience across Fortum’s ecosystem. Our team is responsible of helping various stakeholders inside Fortum related to topics of threat intelligence and situational awareness, employee cyber security trainings, etc.
Your tasks may include:
- Assisting in service support tasks.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for security solutions.
- Contributing to end-user cyber awareness and CTF exercise
- Threat intelligence report creations
- Helping in vulnerability management
- Communicating and publishing briefs across the company
You are a proactive team player who enjoys solving challenges, driving improvements and enjoy interacting with people. You combine ICT skills with a cyber security mindset and are comfortable working independently when needed.
We hope you apply if you have:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as vulnerabilities, threats, threat intelligence.
- Are nearing the end of your ICT/automation/cyber/communication with cyber insight-related studies
- Fluent English skills (Finnish or Swedish is an advantage).
- Availability from 4 May 2026 to 28 August 2026.
- Familiarity with IT service operations (e.g., troubleshooting, ticket handling, change processes)
- Participation in hackathons, bug bounty programs, or platforms like HackTheBox.
- Technical skills in Linux/Windows environments
- Presentation skills, blog posts etc.
- A meaningful role where you contribute to securing critical infrastructure.
