This role is with Ailesbury Services, a leading Irish facilities management company and part of the €5 billion Samsic Facility Group following its acquisition on 31st March 2025. With an annual turnover of approximately €22 million, Ailesbury is growing rapidly and is seeking additional finance support to manage day-to-day reporting requirements for its parent company.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Department at Ailesbury Services. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of financial transactions, month-end reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and Irish accounting standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end journal entries and management accounts.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices and payments; manage supplier accounts.
- Issue customer invoices and maintain debtor ledgers.
- Complete bank reconciliations and cash flow records.
- Support payroll, VAT, and general finance administration.
- 2+ years' experience in finance/accounts roles
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Part-qualified ATI or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Opera)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and proactive attitude
- Experience in facilities management or similar sector.
- Exposure to reporting requirements in a parent-subsidiary structure advantageous.
