Role: Project Manager - Civil Construction
Location: Limerick / Munster
Type: Permanent
Parker Stewart are working with a well known Public, Civil Engineering, Building & Private specialist contractor to hire a Construction Project Planner. This position will primarily be based in Limerick.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline, lookahead, and recovery programs) using industry-standard planning software.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure accurate progress reporting and schedule updates.
- Identify project risks, delays, and critical path impacts; propose mitigation strategies to maintain delivery timelines.
- Prepare planning reports, dashboards, and progress metrics for internal teams and client presentations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, construction methodologies, and safety standards while integrating cost, schedule, and resource planning
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline (Level 7/8 preferred).
- Strong experience in planning within civil engineering or infrastructure construction
- Proficiency in planning software
- Strong understanding of Irish construction regulations
- Demonstrated experience in developing baseline programmes, managing critical paths, and producing progress reports on medium-to-large civil projects.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
