The Position

As our Creative Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and usability of Marie-Stella-Maris products and customer experiences. Your scope is the entire portfolio ranging from existing baseline products such as hand soaps and body creams, but also new product developments. You will translate brand vision and positioning, user needs and trends into intuitive, beautiful yet usable designs, spanning digital and physical touchpoints.

This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly collaborative. You will work within our Product Development team and work closely with our Packaging Specialist and Sourcing team to bring ideas from prototype to reality and deliver innovative, premium design solutions that strengthen our brand and elevate the customer experience.

This full-time role is perfect for a highly creative and experienced product designer who can translate brand vision, user needs, and market insights into beautiful, sustainable, and innovative product and packaging solutions across our lifestyle portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

  • Design and develop new products within our existing and new categories, such hand care, body care, haircare, home fragrances, lifestyle specials, home deco and perfumes.
  • Create premium, aesthetic, design product concepts that are on brand but differentiate from what the market has to offer, always keeping sustainability and refillability top of mind.
  • Develop product sketches, 3D models, renders, material proposals, and prototypes for internal review and manufacturer production.

Packaging & Form Design

  • Define shape, form, texture, and packaging concepts to ensure a distinctive and cohesive product presence that creates instant brand recognition for our target consumer.
  • Collaborate with packaging engineers, suppliers, and manufacturers to refine structural design and ensure feasibility.

Innovation & Material Exploration

  • Identify new materials, production techniques, and sensorial elements that elevate product expression and sustainability.
  • Explore the the lines between premiumness and sustainability, ensuring an explicit luxury experience with implicit promisses on reducing negative impact on the environment.

Brand & Experience Alignment

  • Ensure every product reflects Marie-Stella-Maris’ premium positioning, iconic design and shapes, sustainability commitments, and social mission.
  • Work closely with Brand and Retail teams to design products that build emotional connection and meet customer needs.

User & Market Insights

  • Conduct trend analysis, category benchmarking, and user research to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  • Translate customer insights into improvements across premiumness, functionality, usability, and form.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Packaging Specialist, Sourcing and Production teams to guide products through sampling, testing, and finalisation.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to create production-ready outputs and quality standards.

And Who Bring…

  • 5+ years of Product Design experience, ideally in a beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brand environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality UX/UI and visual design work across digital products or physical/digital touchpoints.
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional design initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfort working with research insights and data to inform design decisions.
  • A passion for premium brands, craftsmanship, and sustainable, user-focused innovation.
