Role Overview

As a Business (Data) Analyst, you play a key role in analyzing, structuring, and translating complex data requirements into scalable solutions. You act as the critical liaison between stakeholders, product owners, and DevOps teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the data product lifecycle. Your insights and documentation will drive effective collaboration and delivery of high-quality, enterprise-grade data products.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Requirements Management

• Engage with data producers and consumers across various business units in a highly interconnected enterprise structure.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding and documentation of requirements.

Data Modelling & Solution Design

• Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers to design logical and physical data models.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications that align with data architecture and development capabilities.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical models integrating data from multiple source systems.

Delivery Support & Quality Assurance

• Define functional specifications and acceptance criteria for data products.
• Participate in validation and testing to ensure alignment with business expectations and data quality standards.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

• Streamline business analysis practices, improving documentation and requirement-gathering methodologies for greater efficiency and clarity.
• Ensure documentation supports traceability, scalability, and reusability.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IT, Data Science).
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in data modelling.
• Familiarity with data modelling techniques such as Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling.
• Strong understanding of historical data and complex enterprise data landscapes.

Technical & Business Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of data warehousing principles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments with experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders, architects, and development teams in complex organizational structures.
