This position suits a person with a deep interest in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis, aiming to apply this knowledge in a real-world business setting. This internship offers a stage to engage in developing predictive models and providing data-driven insights to influence strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Collaborate with teams to understand business requirements and identify data analytics opportunities
• Visualize data insights using tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Prepare reports and communicate results to teams and management
• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in data science and machine learning

Requirements

• On-site presence in the Lisbon office is required once per week
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data mining techniques
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to have

• Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Exposure to deep learning and neural networks
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
