Data Engineers
for various ongoing and upcoming freelance projects with German clients.
These projects involve modern data stacks, cloud environments, and collaboration within cross-functional international teams.
Your ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processesIntegrate multiple data sources and ensure data reliability and qualityBuild and optimize data models and warehouse structuresCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software developersEnsure data security, governance, and compliance (GDPR)Drive continuous improvement through automation and performance tuning
Your Profile5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (freelance or employed)Excellent knowledge of SQL, Python, and frameworks such as Airflow, DBT, or SparkExperience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (data & analytics services)Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and streaming architecturesFamiliarity with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practicesIndependent, structured, and solution-oriented work style
LanguagesEnglish: fluent (working proficiency required)German: a strong advantage – some projects require it
Collaboration & TermsContract type: Freelance / B2B (long-term collaboration preferred)Location: Remote from EEA (occasional workshops in Germany possible)Start date: as agreed / flexible
