Senior Manager Research

Purpose Of This Role

The purpose of the Senior Manager Research role is to lead and oversee comprehensive diagnostic research and snus innovation research in the market, understanding consumer behaviors, consumer innovation needs and translating them into strategic insights. This role involves synthesizing all consumer insights and multi-source data, providing advanced and holistic reports, leveraging a wide range of digital sources, and predicting the impact of insights implementation. The Senior Manager Research enables senior management to design and execute business strategies, ensuring consumer-centric decisions. They act as a key advisor and sparring partner, answering complex business questions with precision. Additionally, they mentor junior analysts and drive the development of innovative research methodologies. The Senior Manager Research consults with business stakeholders, refines the business and research questions and identifies the right approach on how to address these questions, with the end goal of providing the relevant and actionable consumer insights for the business in a timely matter.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage 360-degree insight generation and management, closely cooperating with marketing, innovation, commercial and business planning management for Retention, E-com, Direct Retail, and Care.
  • Conduct sophisticated analyses to support the improvement of customers' experience and generate strategic recommendations for action in markets.
  • Translate consumer data into clear commercial actions and present them to key stakeholders on a constant basis.
  • Drive "Best in class Analytics" while accelerating data-based digital analytics and predictive modeling.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for consumer research and analytics.
  • Design, brief, and create consumer and market insights and foresights to drive faster business decisions.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to perform root-cause analyses, including data mining and collaborating with Data Science.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage snus innovation pipeline including product testing.
  • Identify future trends and business opportunities.
  • Ensure all research projects comply with internal protocols and local regulations.

Key Requirements

  • University Degree in Psychology, Statistics, Market Research, Data Science, Economics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Market Research, Insights and Analytics, Consumer Research etc. with at least 2 years on the client side.
  • Proven collaboration skills, building partnerships and working cross-functionally with Innovation/R&D teams, Marketing, IT, Digital, CRM functions, and General Management.
  • Extended knowledge in market research methodologies such as product testing, segmentation, brand equity/perception, conjoint analysis, price sensitivity measurement, as well as concept, packaging and communication testing, market & target audience analysis.
  • Workshop Moderation Experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python, PowerBI, DAX, QlikView, Tableau.
  • Data storytelling skills, demonstrating the ability to connect, interpret, and present data to provide insightful and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in FMCG category and/or research agency is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish.
