About the Role

At Akakçe, we are scaling our mobile platform to handle millions of daily users. We are looking for Senior System Engineer to join our team, who will be responsible for high-impact projects and work closely with product and data teams to create seamless experiences for visitors.

Responsibilities

Ensure the uninterrupted and secure operation of the company’s system, network, and cloud infrastructure,

Perform installation, configuration, updates, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers,

Manage services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy,

Configure network devices (firewalls, switches, routers) and implement access, security, and routing policies,

Design, implement, and manage network structures such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, and VPN,

Manage servers and services on virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, etc.),

Monitor and implement backup, disaster recovery, and data security processes,

Continuously monitor system, network, and application performance; proactively identify and resolve issues,

Use logging, monitoring, and reporting tools to maintain visibility and reliability of the infrastructure,

Respond to technical support requests promptly and provide effective solutions,

Research new technologies and recommend improvements compatible with current infrastructure,

Collaborate with development and operations teams to design scalable, secure, and automated deployment environments,

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar,

Develop and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes),

Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments, ensuring efficient use of resources,

Build and maintain reliable, fault-tolerant systems with high availability and performance standards,

Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs),

Enhance system reliability through automation, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution,

Lead incident management processes, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures,

Perform capacity planning, load testing, and system optimization to ensure scalability and stability,

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve observability, alerting, and reporting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field,

Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems,

Proficiency in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy,

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, and routing protocols,

Experience managing network devices such as firewalls, switches, and routers,

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox),

Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS), backup, and disaster recovery solutions,

Knowledge of monitoring, log management, and IT security solutions,

Experience with automation, CI/CD tools, and configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform),

Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes),

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure management,

Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell),

Understanding of SRE principles—reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response,

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities,

Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a solution-oriented approach.
