Role SummaryThe Business Analyst will lead a small group of analysts within a larger project team to strengthen data management and governance initiatives across Enterprise Compliance. This role partners closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve data retention and disposition gaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.This position requires a data-centric, governance-focused analyst who can operate independently, manage multiple stakeholder relationships, and provide leadership, reporting, and risk oversight across concurrent initiatives.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and leadership to a small team of analysts
  • Deliver reporting and insights on team progress and outcomes
  • Identify, document, escalate, and manage project and data risks/issues
  • Support workload management and capacity assessments
  • Potentially lead independent workstreams
  • Provide data governance and data management support
  • Support Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities
  • Ensure data compliance with enterprise standards, policies, and guidelines
  • Perform data analysis and support documentation of DRD requirements
  • Support inventorying, cataloguing, and assessment of data assets
  • Execute manual Data Retention and Disposition and evidencing procedures
  • Build strong working relationships across business and technology partners
Skills & QualificationsRequired Skills:
  • Governance experience
  • Project experience, including timeline management and risk identification
  • Data analytics and Excel-based reporting, including some manual processes
Preferred Skills:
  • Business analysis experience in governance, change management, or data-centric environments
  • Financial services or banking experience
Additional / Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience leading teams or projects
  • Data management experience (controls, compliance, regulatory understanding)
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Shared Drives, data storage hierarchy and folder design, Confluence, and JIRA

  • Education: Undergraduate degree required
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
