As a key member of the Network Services Team within Technical Services and Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring network readiness as we move from a traditional Phone System, Avaya CS 1000M PBX to an Avaya Aura infrastructure. You will be instrumental in the deployment of Avaya SIP sets, ensuring a seamless transition to a robust, scalable, and secure voice network that meets the hospital's evolving communication needs.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Work with the project team and network team to ensure network readiness for the deployment of Avaya SIP Sets as part of the Avaya PBX to Avaya Aura migration.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues (wired/wireless devices), restoring normal operations independently or collaboratively.
  • Interface with Network Managed Service providers for network changes and requests.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, policies, procedures, cabling layouts, and project records.
  • Perform capacity planning and monitor ongoing network operations.
  • Collaborate with Senior Network Analysts and project teams on equipment installation and configuration.
  • Manage and administer network monitoring systems (SolarWinds, Arista Cloud Vision).
  • Provide network activation services, including VPN provisioning.
  • Participate in afterhours and weekend project work as required.

Here's What You'll Need

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting LAN/WAN technologies (wired and wireless).
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP) and switching (VLANs, STP, vPC, LACP, MLAG, VxLAN).
  • Experience with IDS/IPS, ACLs, NATs, SSL/TLS, IPSEC VPNs.
  • Knowledge of OSI model framework and common protocols, and how applications work at the network level (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP etc.)
  • Working knowledge of IP Networks TCP/UDP and L2/L3 QoS Protocols.
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi and 802.11 protocols, RF planning, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Avaya systems (CS1000/Avaya Aura), Extreme, Aruba, InfoBlox, Arista is an asset.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and executing follow-up actions.
  • Understanding of information security best practices.
  • Experience with ITIL-driven Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
  • Experience in enterprise data center environments.

Employment Type: On-Site required. 1 year CONTRACT. Full-time (35 hour/week).
