We are recruiting for a leading global provider of market intelligence and data across energy and commodities is seeking a Vice President, Business Development.


This is a senior commercial role responsible for driving revenue growth and deepening strategic client relationships across Asia, with a primary focus on the oil and refined products markets. The position works closely with senior stakeholders across trading, refining, and upstream/downstream organisations, translating complex market insight into high-value commercial solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new business development and account expansion across North East Asia, with a strong emphasis on strategic, multi-year client relationships
  • Build and manage senior-level partnerships with oil traders, refiners, producers, and integrated energy companies
  • Partner with internal research and product teams to convert market intelligence into tailored commercial propositions
  • Represent the firm at industry forums and senior client engagements, strengthening regional market presence
  • Operate as a senior commercial voice within APAC, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution


Ideal Profile

  • Extensive senior-level business development or commercial experience within oil and refined products markets
  • Strong regional market knowledge and an established network across North East Asia
  • Proven ability to engage credibly with C-suite and senior commercial decision-makers
  • Comfortable operating across strategy, sales execution, and complex consultative deal cycles
  • Fluency in an additional Asian language (e.g. Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese) is highly advantageous


Location & Travel

  • Singapore-based
  • Regional travel across APAC of approximately 25–50%
